I try to challenge myself by creating simple cheat sheets for presentations or as a refresher for topics I don’t use often. The hard part is to simplify something so much that it is easy to understand while not losing too much information for its purpose.
The best example of this challenge are maps. A city map including points of interest, restaurants, tourist information, etc. is a good guide for a tourist. A map like that though isn’t one which a local would use to travel around the city by subway. Depending on the situation a different style has to be used.
